Cotton polyester knit backing is permanently bonded to the back of your fabric. The knit adds body and resilience to otherwise fragile fabrics. Knit Backing is the most desirable method available to reinforce light weight silks, cottons, and fabrics such as chenilles for upholstery use. Additional stain protection is always recommended for upholstery fabrics.

Attention: To avoid delays in processing your order, we ask that you please instruct your fabric supplier to mark the face of your fabric. Standard industry practice dictates that fabrics are rolled "face in." However, this practice is sometimes disregarded and fabrics are shipped "face out." Also, with the advent of reversible fabrics and the fact that designers commonly use the "reverse" side of the "face", there is no way to be sure which side is intended to be used as the face if the roll is not marked. As a result, costly mistakes can happen. In some cases, attaching a swatch to your purchase order and designating the face is an acceptable alternative to marking the roll. However, if the differences in the front and back are subtle, a small swatch may not make it possible to positively identify the face. Knit backing adhesive is permanent. We cannot accept responsibility for fabrics that are shipped to us reversed and unmarked. PLEASE MARK THE FACE OF YOUR FABRIC. . . THANKS!
