Fabric inspection is a stand alone process which is separate and apart from our other finishing services. Every yard of fabric is examined as the fabric moves slowly across a lighted inspection table. Significant flaws are noted and the general condition of the fabric is determined and recorded. Fabric inspection is recommended whenever our customer desires confirmation of the fabric's condition prior to treatment.
PLEASE NOTE:
Fabrics, by their nature, are imperfect to some degree. Some variations are to be expected. Silk fabrics, in particular, are noted for containing numerous flaws, slubs, and other manufacturing defects.
The Fabric Inspection process cannot discern and make note of every perceptible flaw. That level of inspection would be prohibitively expensive to provide.
Our purpose is to examine the fabric and give you our impression of the overall consistency and quality of goods. There can still be hidden or latent defects in any fabric that do not manifest themselves until after the fabric is treated or installed. We make no warranty regarding the quality of the fabrics we inspect.
